You know how they say it happens when you least expect it? Well that’s what happened with us and looking back it’s the perfect story, in my opinion. After rekindling with my best guy friends one summer, me and the boys decided that it was back to the old days and Jill was coming over everyday. It was a Saturday night so naturally I was over at the boys house, shot gunning white claws and brought over some friends for the boys to mingle with before we went out to the beach. I can’t remember if I was sitting or standing but all I remember is Vinny coming out of the bathroom just showered with his wet hair slicked back and a towel wrapped around his lower waist… it’s getting hot already (I know) once my eyes matched his I thought to myself “wow I haven’t seen someone this good looking in Pinellas county in forever” The best part of it all is that he isn’t from Pinellas county and that he is from New York. I introduced myself and found out that he was one of my guy best-friends roommates. I could have been thinking nothing, knowing me, but if I wasn’t thinking anything I know I felt a spark. I was there almost everyday hanging out with my friends and I remember one of the first normal chill nights with Vinny, we all sat around the tv to watch the presidential debate of Joe Biden and Donald Trump, the opinions around the room didn’t give me much intel of who Vinny was voting for because I would have never guessed later on that I would be dating someone who voted for Biden to clear his student debts (womp womp womp lol just kidding) Moving on to better… Vinny and our mutual friend moved out and rented a house up the road. Unknowingly, up the road was one minute away from my house. If Vinny thought he was getting rid of me then he now knew he was going to see me twice as much more than he did before. I’d go over there everyday if not three times a day which obviously built a friendship between us. Sadly, a few months into living in that new house one of my guy best-friends had passed. After months of grief and dealing with a terrible loss I always was able to come over to the boys house and hangout. There was no doubt that we were attracted to each other but like they say timing is key. About a year later one day me and my Bestfriend were being goofy and decided to drive by the boys house to see what they were doing (we actually were going to tag one of their trucks and before you think to yourself that is so lame, we were looking for clean and harmless fun) as I’m driving down keene my friend quickly screams omg people are outside!!! So I quickly turned into the left lane, scared and embarrassed that I felt like I blew my cover (I didn’t blow my cover until months into dating) Vinny texted me saying what’s up, I tried to play cool and texted back. We ended up going out that night and there was more than just attraction. After that night, I started going over to the boys house but just to hang out with Vinny. From that day on we built our loving relationship on movies, food, laughs, religion, differences, similarities and the best part.. love. Looking back I could have told you Vinny was the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with but there is no need to look back when this life with each other is moving forward.
